Dr. Mitchell is the founder and CEO of Mitchell Dermatology, with subspecialty interests spanning hair loss, hyperpigmentation, and skin of color. She is the immediate past chair of the National Medical Association's Dermatology Section, where she launched the Research and Resident Committees, created to engage medical students in research and to provide support and professional development to residents during their training and early career. She directs her practice's MD Gap Year and Summer Internship Programs, which build pipeline access to medical fields, including dermatology.
